VisserTek software upgrade policy

VisserTek horticulture software is continuously updated to stay up-to-date  with the information systems of the flower-, plant-, and flower-bulb auctions:

• The software license lasts until the end of a period of 2 years and it also includes free support during this period (by phone and online via remote desktop assistance). Free updates can be installed automatically when the program is started. In You then see a yellow window with the option to install the free update.
  
• With the free updates, the version number is increased from 15.0.8.41 to 15.0.8.43 for example (the main version number 15 is never increased for free updates). Unless a special 1-year subscription is purchased, version 15 will continue to work after the period of 2 years, but as no adaptations are implemented anymore required to communicate with the information systems of the auctions, various function may stop working after a while.
• After 2 years there will be an upgrade from main version 15 to 16 for example (e.g. from version number 15.0.8.43 to 16.0.0.1). This upgrade is not free and this is indicated with a green window and a message that for the upgrade a new license code has been ordered (for a reduced upgrade price). You can click on Bestelformulier/Orderform to order the upgrade.
  
  At the beginning of the 2 year period often an extra discount is offered via a newsletter email.
• So:
  1. Periodic intermediate updates (same main version number 14, 15, 16 etc., like from   15.0.2.32 to 15.0.8.33) are free.
  2. For the bi-annual upgrades (e.g. from 15.0.8.34 to16.0.0.0) and upgrade price applies.
